**Production & Maintenance Manager – East Africa**
Path Recruiters is hiring on behalf of a client operating a state-of-the-art packaging manufacturing unit in East Africa, which has recently commissioned a fully automatic, high-speed corrugated box manufacturing plant.
**About the Plant**
The newly installed production line features:
- 5-Ply Fully Automatic Corrugated Box Machine
- 5-Colour Printing Machine with Ceramic Rollers and Doctor Blade technology
- Automatic Folder Gluer, Stitcher, and Strapper
- Primary material processing: Testliner and Kraft paper
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the complete end-to-end production lifecycle to maximize output, uphold quality standards, and drive operational efficiency
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance routines for all plant machinery to ensure peak operational readiness
- Diagnose technical malfunctions and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to minimize downtime
- Lead plant floor personnel, enforce SOPs, and maintain a safe, compliant working environment
**Candidate Profile**
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on technical experience with automated corrugated box manufacturing machinery (prior experience in East Africa is a distinct advantage)
- Maximum age: 35 years
- Fluency in English is mandatory, Swahili is desirable
**Salary & Benefits**
USD 1,000 to 1,500 net, plus expat benefits on bachelor status, including food, transport, and yearly air tickets
